A tribute to my friend Tye Hartall

Tye succumbed to cancer yesterday. I was working on this song while thinking of him.

Joel that is so gentle and telling. I write this with tears in my eyes, maybe because I’m a sentimental of fart or because it brings back memories when I was young and listening for the first time to an Hawaiian guitar. Keep ’em coming.

I didn’t know Tye, but in the 90’s he was the first person outside my family that I found on the Internet with the last name Hartall. I remember reading his webpage when he was in Phuket thinking what an awesome life he was living. Sorry to hear of his passing. That was a beautiful song, I listened while writing this.
