Just found your site and just received an old lap steel tuned to low to high c e g a c e new strings,My question is will these strings tune to your Akaka song,or do I need a different gauge,Hawaiian music is new to me and I just love your playing thanks so much

Thank you. Give me a call. 809-280-0722. My tuning gets rid of the low C and adds a high G. It has several advantages. I don’t think I used the high G in Akaka Falls. I’ll have a look. You would essentially cover up the tob line of tablature. You could also tune your instrument to A6 and play it in E. A6 is a nice tuning.
